The Landing Project
Description
Artists Molly Brown and Andrew Howe will provide a “breathing space” for you to reflect creatively on the event and your own experience in farming and producing food. They will lead creative activities and exchanges of stories exploring the experiences and challenges faced by farmers. Convergence participants will have the opportunity to create collaborative weavings using wool, foraged and other materials mounted on farm fencing wire. Participants could also create seed pods in which to express ideas for a future vision for farmland and how we might get there. There will be a woven wool and wire sharing pod in which up to two people will be able to sit inside to talk and share stories. There will also be a separate listening space where participants can hear some of the previously collected stories and soundscapes from the ongoing series of artist residencies on farms around Shropshire.
