Increasing fruit and vegetable production in Wales

Social Farms and Gardens are hosting this session which will look at the importance of increasing production, highlight the challenges faced by growers and explore risk reduction strategies.

Hear from Richard Edwards about Cultivate and Bwyd Powys Food experience working with local small scale commercial growers in Powys over the last decade. Alison Sheffield will share about the Procurement Food Hubs project and its role in establishing a machinery ring in Carmarthenshire and John Philips from Broniath Farm will share his experience and insights using the machinery ring. There will be time for discussion and action planning for taking this forward.
